Thank you for visiting my web site. I hope you find it interesting, informative, and most of all inspiring. My goal is to present an insight into my career as a Major League baseball player, but more importantly an insight into the person that I am. Using this web site and my book, Have Heart, I hope to give those of you who aspire to achieve your dreams, an understanding of how I achieved mine, despite not having the best tools rated by scouts and organizations. To understand my accomplishments you have to know my family and understand how I grew up. My life, as a child, was full of love, discipline, determination, and challenges. In this environment, I learned to always use my talents to the best of my ability, to believe in myself, to set goals and be determined to meet those goals, and to never give up or lose focus. I learned what it meant to “Have Heart”.
